Jakub Hejl is a Czech American investor, real estate developer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist whose work spans major real estate and cultural initiatives across the United States. He is the founder and president of Westside Capital Group. This Miami-based real estate investment firm manages a multibillion-dollar portfolio of properties and land across a wide range of U.S. markets. He also founded the Hejl Foundation, where he serves as Chairman, and he is the Chairman of the Board of The Wolfsonian, a renowned Miami Beach museum and research center dedicated to exploring the influence of art and design on society.

Hejl established Westside in 2017 and has since led the firm’s strategic planning, investment vision, and organizational development. His career includes more than $4 billion in real estate transactions throughout the United States and Europe, spanning acquisitions, development projects, and numerous complex deal structures. Under his leadership, Westside has grown into a diversified investment platform focused on multifamily, mixed-use, and data-driven real estate opportunities.

The firm maintains a significant development pipeline consisting of entitled land progressing through various stages of planning, construction, and stabilization. Beyond real estate assets, Westside invests in and operates businesses within the real estate value chain and other related sectors. The company remains active across the Southeastern, Mid-Atlantic, and Sunbelt regions as it continues to expand its investment footprint.

Born in Prague, Czech Republic, on January 9, 1989, Hejl moved to the United States at 15 to pursue educational opportunities. After attending IMG Academy in Florida, he graduated with honors from the University of Miami, where he earned a degree in Finance and Real Estate with a minor in Economics. Hejl’s career began in New York City, where he worked as a real estate investment banking analyst before moving on to roles at DRA Advisors and Westbrook Partners. These experiences shaped his understanding of the real estate industry, eventually leading him to establish Westside Capital Group in 2017.

Under Hejl's leadership, Westside Capital Group has seen substantial growth, with a focus on transformative urban developments. One of the firm's most notable projects is the RoseArts District in Orlando, Florida, a significant opportunity zone development with plans for nearly 6,000 residential units and substantial commercial space. Hejl’s firm has also gained a reputation for its work in unique situations, investing in and acquiring distressed properties and repositioning them for future success.

Beyond his professional success, Hejl is deeply committed to philanthropy and community involvement. He actively supports organizations such as Sebastian Strong, a foundation dedicated to pediatric cancer research. He plays an active role in the University of Miami's President’s Council, a group of influential alumni who contribute to the university's mission. Hejl is a mentor for professionals and speaks at estate conferences, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of leaders.

In his personal life, Hejl enjoys ice hockey and is passionate about electronic music. His drive, vision, and commitment to his business and community have made him respected in the real estate industry.
